# Competitors

> Track your competitive landscape with daily automated competitor monitoring

Competitor tracking runs automatically once per day and builds a table of your direct and indirect competitors, including your own company for benchmarking. There's nothing to set up, every workspace with a website URL is tracked.

## How it works

Every day, BeyondNoise researches your workspace's website and finds:

* **Direct competitors** - companies offering the same product to the same audience.
* **Indirect competitors** - companies with a different product that fully or partly solves the same problem.

For each company, the run collects:

* Name and website
* A short description
* How they overlap with you
* Employee count
* Funding stage
* HQ location
* Monthly website visits

Your [brand context](/brand-context) is included in every run, so results reflect your business perspective.

## Data sources

Each competitor run combines web search with premium data partners via [Exa](https://exa.ai):

* [**Fiber.ai**](https://fiber.ai) - B2B database of companies and people. Powers employee count and funding stage.
* [**Similarweb**](https://www.similarweb.com) - Digital market intelligence covering estimated traffic and engagement of millions of websites. Powers monthly visits and audience-overlapping sites.
* [**Affiliate.com**](https://affiliate.com) - Searchable index of product catalogs across merchants and affiliate networks, with live pricing. Powers product and pricing comparison.

## Requirements

Competitor tracking needs a website URL for your workspace. Set it under **Settings → Website**. Workspaces without a website URL are skipped.

## Viewing competitors

Open **Competitors** in your workspace sidebar. The table shows the latest run within the current month, with a badge showing how many hours ago the data was collected.

* **Sort** any column by clicking its header.
* **Click a row** to open the detail panel with the full profile for that company.
* Click a company's **name or website** to visit their site directly.
