# Brand Context

> Define your brand context to tailor research results to your business perspective

Brand context is a rich text description of your brand that gets included in research queries to tailor AI answers to your business perspective.

## How it works

When you enable **Brand context** in a research query, the AI receives your brand context as additional context. This helps it produce answers that are more relevant to your industry, positioning, and goals.

## Setting up brand context

### During onboarding

If you provide a website URL when creating a workspace, BeyondNoise automatically researches your brand and generates a brand context summary. You can review and edit it before saving.

If you skip the website URL, you can enter brand context manually in the text editor.

### In settings

1. Navigate to your workspace.
2. Click **Brand Context** in the sidebar.
3. Edit the content in the rich text editor.
4. Click **Update** to save.

## Text editor

The brand context editor supports rich text formatting including headings, lists, bold/italic text, and links. Use it to describe:

* Your company and what it does
* Your target market and customers
* Your competitors and market position
* Key differentiators and value propositions
* Industry context and trends to watch

## Using brand context in research

When starting a new research query (ad-hoc or continuous), toggle the **Brand context** switch to include it. You cannot change this setting mid-conversation.
